The generation 2 DNAiTECH instrument is now available. While it looks identical to the original instrument it now has onboard lithium ion batteries, an internal battery charger and modified electronics with charge status indicating LEDs.
This is an instrument that is fully infield capable without the need for external batteries. The instrument can be powered by a 12-volt AC/DC adapter for the classroom or the laboratory, but it can be used cable less in the field for a number of hours. The generation 2 instrument can also be charged in transit from the vehicle cigarette lighter making the instrument extremely versatile for in-field applications.
